"How do I find out about care homes?"

If you want to find out about care homes, perhaps because the person you care for can no longer manage to live on their own or because you are no longer able to provide the level of care needed, a useful starting point is the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). You can get information about local care homes and copies of inspection reports. The contact details for the local office are:

The Relatives and Residents Association provide a listening ear; information about funding care home fees; support in making difficult decisions about care; help in finding the way through the care system as well as advice on choosing a care home.
