"Where can I get advice on employment matters?"

If you are currently working

If you are juggling work and caring, it can be difficult. There is a free and confidential information and advice service for anyone wanting to check up on their employment rights. Please contact ACAS (Advice, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) on 0845 47 47 47 or visit www.acas.org.uk.

If you are a parent caring for a child with a disability and working as well there is a Working Families legal helpline on 0800 013 0313.

If you want to return to paid employment

Perhaps you are looking to return to paid employment but are not sure of what you want to do or whether you may need to brush up on some skills. Bolton and Bury Information Advice and Guidance Partnership provides information on careers, college courses, financial help with training, returning to work, childcare and applying for jobs. Contact the free helpline on 0800 028 5590.
